Job description

Job Summary :

  • We are seeking a skilled Setup Brake Press Operator to join our small metal fabrication team.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a brake press machine using air bending techniques, ensuring accurate and precise metal part fabrication.
  • This role also includes quality inspection and assisting in general labor throughout the shop.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Operate and set up brake press machines for air bending metal components according to job specifications and blueprints.
  • Interpret blueprints and determine tooling and bending order to complete part.
  • Check dimensions and tolerances using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform regular quality checks and adjustments to maintain production standards.
  • Assist with general shop labor, including material handling, part preparation, and machine maintenance as needed.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality expectations.

    • Qualifications :

  • Previous experience operating a brake press or similar metal fabrication equipment preferred.
  • Familiarity with air bending techniques and basic metal fabrication processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic computer skills for scanning purposes.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to assist in various shop tasks as needed.
