WTG Load-Out Port Site Manager – Senior

📍 Location : New London, CT

📅 Duration : December 2025 – December 2026 (with possible 6-month extension)

🔄 Rotation : 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off (subject to vessel schedule)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced WTG Load-Out Port Site Manager – Senior to oversee and coordinate all port and load-out operations. The role requires strong leadership, offshore construction expertise, and a proactive focus on health, safety, and quality standards .

This position involves managing contractors, equipment, and critical offshore wind project operations, ensuring smooth coordination and execution at the port site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and enforce a strong HSE culture across all phases of operation.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage port operations and site equipment.
  • Oversee load-out and sea fastening activities performed by third parties.
  • Act as primary interface between multiple contractors and project teams.
  • Arrange and lead daily progress / coordination meetings .
  • Monitor and report construction progress, readiness, and compliance.
  • Manage documentation including lookaheads, progress minutes, CoAs, and risk logs.

Requirements

Essential :

  • ~5 years’ experience in onshore / offshore construction (heavy lifts, loadouts, marine ops).
  • Strong project and construction management background, ideally offshore.
  • Technical knowledge of offshore construction, lifting, and marine operations.
  • Excellent communication skills; highly motivated, organized, and collaborative.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • IT proficiency (MS Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Preferred :

  • Offshore wind industry experience (WTGs or foundations).
  • Previous Client Rep / Site Manager experience in offshore projects.
  • GWO Basic Safety Training (Sea Survival, Heights, First Aid, Fire Awareness, Manual Handling).
  • OGUK medical certificate (or equivalent).
  • Relevant HSE certifications (e.g., IOSH Managing Safely).
  • Experience with heavy lifts, transport logistics, inspections, and documentation.
  • Compensation

    💲 Competitive daily rate (DOE).

    📈 Long-term contract with extension potential.

    Work Schedule & Travel

  • 12 hours per day / 72 hours per week.
  • Some travel required (approx. 5 days per month).
  • Location : New London, CT .
