Medical Assistant Position
Sirius Staffing is seeking a Medical Assistant for a long-term contract role in Chattanooga, TN.
Schedule :
7 : 30-3 : 30, Mon-Fri
Rate : $17
Responsibilities :
- Provide primary and preventive care under clinical protocols, ensuring efficient and timely patient services.
- Prepare patients for treatments, take vital signs, document histories, and assist providers during examinations or procedures.
- Collect and document health information accurately in electronic health records; perform phlebotomy and specimen collection / transport.
- Administer vaccinations, injections, and medications as directed by protocols or providers.
- Follow safety, infection control, and Blood Borne Pathogen standards; maintain cleanliness and safety in clinical areas.
- Monitor patient flow, ensuring timely movement from registration to care.
- Conduct routine procedures such as hearing and vision tests, and assist with lab processes and quality control.
- Maintain logs, equipment checks, and reports; stock and manage supplies, including vaccines and medications.
- Communicate effectively with patients and coworkers, demonstrating cultural and linguistic proficiency.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, training, and education to maintain certifications.
- Respond to emergencies as directed and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or the equivalentThe position requires a vocational / technical school diploma from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Medical Assistant (MA) program with at least one to three years of directly related work experienceMust possess a valid drivers licenseProficient in Windows OS, Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), and general computer, spelling, filing, and office skills.Strong reading, writing, math, and technical skills; capable of performing calculations and interpreting health-related documentation.Clear and tactful communicator with cultural sensitivity, able to interact courteously with patients, providers, and referral sources.Detail-oriented, punctual, and adaptable under stress, including during emergencies.Knowledge of proper body mechanics for lifting and moving objects; effective eye / hand / foot coordination.Skilled in recording, delivering, and explaining information, following instructions, and handling various equipment.Team player with the ability to maintain focus and efficiency in dynamic environments.Sirius Staffing is an equal-opportunity employer.
