Revenue Cycle Management Analyst – Cardinal Health

Fully Remote : Monday – Friday

About the Role

Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) is responsible for finance related activities such as customer and vendor contract administration, customer and vendor pricing, rebates, billing (including dropships), processing charge backs and vendor invoices, developing and negotiating customer and group purchasing contracts. RCM Analyst (Audit) plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of revenue cycle operations. By auditing payments, claim history, and beneficiary documentation, this function helps validate claim status, identify discrepancies, and determine appropriate next steps. It supports compliance with internal policies and external regulations; safeguards Protected Health Information (PHI) and enhances operational efficiency through process improvement recommendations. This work directly contributes to Cardinal Health’s commitment to financial transparency, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient service.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience, preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance billing, Medicare claims, and audit processes
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance issues and HIPAA regulations
  • Proficiency in basic math, business calculations, and MS Office
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and submit medical documentation and billing data to insurance providers
  • Process electronic and paper claims accurately using billing software systems
  • Ensure timely submission of all requests for documentation
  • Research, resolve, and appeal denied or rejected claims to ensure timely reimbursement
  • Communicate with physicians’ offices, patients, and insurance companies to verify data and resolve discrepancies
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness
  • Safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI) and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Adapt to process changes and contribute feedback for continuous improvement
  • Participate in required department, team, and company meetings
