Job Title : Sr. Oracle Database Developer (PL / SQL & Python)

Location : Jersey City , NJ (Hybrid – 2 weeks onsite , 2 weeks remote)

Duration : 12+ Months Contract with possibility of extension or Conversion

Interview : 2 rounds, first is tech round, with coding exercise. Second is behavioral with manager and Squad Lead.

Top Requirements

10+ years Oracle Database Development (senior level)

Strong data modeling, PL / SQL, performance tuning

Ability to read / understand SQL from Geneva (not required to code Geneva SQL)

Experience with stored procedures, triggers, functions, pipeline functions

Oracle RDBMS deep knowledge (partitioning, roles, privileges, optimization)

Data analysis and debugging complex SQL logic

Python & shell scripting for data manipulation

Strong Linux experience

SQL Loader & SQL Plus experience

Agile team experience

Nice-to-Have

• Oracle AQ messaging
• Core Java
• AWS Cloud exposure
• Prime Brokerage, Capital Markets, Hedge Fund, or Financial Services background

What is the Project?

Prime Services Group is initiating a major multi-year modernization program. They currently rely on a third-party reporting tool called Geneva , which is heavily SQL-based and licensed until 2027 . The goal is to fully decommission Geneva and build internal, scalable, Oracle-based data structures and applications to replace its functionality.
