Overview

Job Title : Refrigeration Engineer

Salary : £48,455

Shift Pattern : M-F, 8am-5pm

Reporting to : Site Services Supervisor - Site Services Manager

Location : Norfolk (exact location given if interested in the role).

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems and equipment across our production facilities.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot any issues related to refrigeration and HVAC systems.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and refrigerant usage.
  • Collaborate with other engineering and production teams to ensure reliable operations.
  • Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
  • Participate in training and development initiatives to stay updated on new technologies and industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Refrigeration Engineer with working Knowledge of Ammonia two stage systems. Compressors, cooling towers, intercoolers, surge drums and ammonia pumps.
  • Currently using Grasso, BAC, Evapco equipment.
  • Ammonia Handling certificate.
  • Knowledge of blast freezers Eurotek and Starfrost plus Coldstore systems.
  • Desirable :
  • Experience within a FMCG environment
  • Working knowledge of complex refrigeration systems both mechanically & electrically
  • Effluent treatment and steam experience
  • Forklift Truck Licence
