Job description

Bednark Studio is seeking skilled Carpenters to join our dynamic team in creating custom builds for special events, retail displays, and more.

As a Carpenter at Bednark Studio, you'll work with technical drawings, manage project timelines, and collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality custom builds. Your expertise in carpentry and fabrication will be crucial in maintaining our studio's reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Interpret and build from technical drawings, communicating effectively with Lead Carpenters and Department Managers
  • Manage personal tasks according to production schedules
  • Operate and maintain all fabrication shop machines, equipment, and tools (electric and pneumatic)
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of wood species, engineered sheet goods, joinery, hardware, and cabinet making
  • Collaborate with team members on engineering and best build practices
  • Ensure all products meet Bednark's high standards before progressing to the next production stage
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment

Essential Skills and Qualifications :

  • 2-5 years of professional carpentry experience
  • 1-2 years of construction event industry experience
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery
  • Strong understanding of carpentry techniques, installation methods, and construction practices
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Excellent skills in following directions, plans, blueprints, and sketches
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional interpersonal skills for client interactions
  • Proficiency with computers and mobile devices
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain focus on critical objectives
  • Additional Requirements :

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules in the dynamic Retail / Construction industry
  • Knowledge of General Safety Practices or OSHA training (preferred)
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
