About The Position
Job Title : Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Experience :
1 year of experience in a PET CT setting required
License :
Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) by ARRT required
State Licensure required
Certifications : BLS required
Must-Have :
PET CT experience is mandatory (at least 1 year or more)
All certifications and licenses must be active, current, and in hand at time of submission. No pending certifications or licenses will be accepted.
Description :
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures.
The technologist will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed.
The role facilitates smooth and efficient patient flow.
The technologist must demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and / or at other campuses as needed.
Ability to troubleshoot basic maintenance is required.
Participation in QA and resolving issues related to image processing and the image archiving system is expected.
Ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within the scope of licensure are part of the job.
Technologists will adhere to expected imaging competencies as outlined by management.
Observation of radiation, personnel, and patient safety measures is required.
Maintaining radiation safety protocol while handling radionuclides and pharmaceuticals is essential.
Daily logs and periodic tests must be completed as required by the license.
Behavior and communication skills must align with the organization's mission, values, and culture.
The technologist will meet expectations of applicable competencies.
Adherence to core values is required.
Consistency with administrative and departmental policies is expected.
Promotion of staff growth and development through collaboration is important.
Exceptional physician satisfaction must be provided by aiding radiologists and referring physicians.
Confidential patient information must be protected.
Adaptation of patient assessment and treatment methods is necessary to accommodate unique needs.
Compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care is mandatory.
Examinations and procedures must be performed to assist in patient throughput.
Flexibility by working other shifts and at different locations is essential.
Ensuring completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS is required.
Following PACS downtime procedures is part of the job.
Troubleshooting and reporting equipment malfunctions is a responsibility.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
