    • Job Summary :

    As an Urgent Care Physician, you will :

    Independently perform a variety of clinical services, treating acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains, and minor infections. You will select and utilize appropriate diagnostics and therapeutic procedures for your patients.

    Job Requirements : Education :

    Graduate of an accredited medical school (required)

    Work Experience :

  • 2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience (required)
  • Minimum 18 months experience in an applicable practice setting (required)
  • Adult and pediatric practice experience strongly (preferred)

    • Licenses / Certifications :

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible by an ABMS member board or AOA specialty board in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
  • Active state medical licensure

    • Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting
  • Proficiency in applicable office procedures, including suturing and splinting

    • Preferred Skills :

  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records
  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service abilities

    • Your Responsibilities Will Include :

  • Examining and treating patients
  • Taking detailed medical histories
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays
  • Making diagnoses and prescribing medications
  • Treating minor injuries requiring sutures, splints, or casting
  • Recording progress notes for follow-up patients
  • Educating and counseling patients
  • Administering vaccinations and referring patients for additional care
  • Supervising GoHealth PA / NPs remotely
  • Acting as a Collaborating Physician for up to four PA / NPs
  • Working anticipated shifts of eight (8) or twelve (12) hours
  • Performing other duties as assigned
