Job description

Job Title : Program Coordinator

Location : Boston, MA

Pay : $21.56 per hour

Potentially eligible for hybrid schedule. Schedule may include up to three days remote, based on department needs and prior supervisor approval.

Requirements

Microsoft Office Suite Required : 1 Year

Direct experience working with the veteran population.

Data Entry Required

Highly desired : 1 Year Knowledge of state / federal veterans programs, services, and benefits.

Highly desired : 1 Year Experience working with the veteran community or servicemembers.

Highly desired : 1 Year Knowledge of VA educational benefits and processes.

Short Description

Plan, coordinate, and execute outreach to foster and maintain existing relationships. This position will help push the VEET forward and ensure all veterans are connected with employment and educational opportunities in a timely manner.

Complete Description

Conduct aggressive research via informational fairs, workshops, public events, and other mediums to expand the reach of the VEET Department.

Collaborate with other state / federal agencies and non-profit providers to identify resources and improvements to EET programs / services.

Plan and support monthly tabling and outreach events with community partners.

Assist with OnBase data entry and outreach to ensure referred veterans are being connected with the proper EET resources.

Support major annual events such as the SVC Welcome Event and VEET Conference, as well as smaller events, where needed.

Respond to direct inquiries via the EET Referral System to provide information, referrals, and establish linkages with supportive services.

Provide informational updates via email, website, and social network sites on services, programs, events, and newsletters.

Review website information relative to the VEET to ensure timely and accurate information on events and resources.

Continue education and awareness of current and emerging employment / educational issues that impact veterans.

Research other states' veterans sites for relevant information to provide updates to the VEET webpage.

Advertise and help recruit more businesses into the Veteran Ready Business Program.

Establish additional networks and help market the VEET program across the client.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of state / federal veterans programs, services, and benefits.

Knowledge of VA educational benefits and processes.

Experience working with the veteran community or service members.

Additional Requirements

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to multitask and problem solve independently.

Strong skills and proficiency in MS Office applications.

Technically savvy utilizing various platforms.

Proficiency with data entry.

Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Additional Notes

Travel requirements travel will be across client for weekly community events as needed.
