Responsible for preparing monthly journal entries for multiple legal entities to ensure proper accounting of revenue and expenses for assigned facilities.Conduct related general ledger closing activities to ensure deadlines of financial reporting are met and all accounting and reporting activities are performed in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.Prepare monthly financial statements, including generating and reviewing financial statements, comparing actual to budget, investigating variances, analyzing key accounts, identifying unusual transactions, verifying accuracy of reserves and accruals, and preparing adjusting journal entries.Maintain fixed asset database, adding new assets or disposals to the system and running reports as needed.Distribute financials to senior management and executive directors, answering any questions that arise.Digitally archive monthly financial reports for permanent records.Perform monthly account reconciliations with supporting schedules for accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll withholdings, suspense, fixed assets, construction in progress, intercompany transactions, prepaid invoices, co-worker loans, payroll accruals, etc.Prepare facilities for year-end and preliminary audit by analyzing financial reports and adjusting accounts as necessary, providing documentation for the annual audit.Assist and prepare annual budget templates for assigned legal entities for senior management.Accountant Requirements
Education : Minimum high school diploma or GED. Accounting or Business Degree preferred, or minimum of two years college-level business and accounting coursework.Experience : 1–3 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience. Strong technology skills required; experience with current accounting software and Microsoft Office products. Prior experience in multi-entity healthcare accounting environment is a plus.Ability to identify problems, secure relevant data, relate data from different sources, and identify possible causes of problems.Ability to self-manage time and work priorities to successfully accomplish tasks.Willingness to cooperate and work as part of a team.Well-organized, detail oriented, excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong ability to multi-task, excellent customer service skills, dependable, and follow-through skills are a must.About Country Meadows
