Salary

Base pay range : $66,951.00 / yr - $85,138.00 / yr. Pay will be based on skills and experience.

Description

ITS provides operational support to state agencies on a 24x7x365 basis; some positions may require providing this critical service at any time.

The role requires communicating orally and in writing with management, users, vendors, and other IT staff. You will work with ITS teams and upper-level agency management to resolve technically complex and politically sensitive issues under pressure.

Availability during off-shift hours is required to ensure appropriate response to security incidents or other critical activities affecting sensitive information, critical systems, NYS agencies, or ITS.

Specific Duties

• Assist with implementation of information security and compliance programs.
• Aid in the management and resolution of security threats to agency information systems under guidance of team leaders.
• Serve as information security support, evaluate systems and contracts for alignment with agency and state information security policies.
• Monitor and stay aware of information security industry trends, tools, and techniques.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Non-competitive : two years of information technology, cybersecurity, or information assurance experience.
