KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Tariff-Driven Strategy Development
Monitor and analyze U.S. import tariffs and global trade policy developments
Create and implement sourcing strategies that optimize cost, lead time, and risk exposure based on tariff impactsProvide data-backed recommendations for shifting supply sources or adjusting insourcing / outsourcing modelsGlobal Manufacturing Site AssessmentEvaluate and recommend which regional manufacturing sites should produce specific parts / components based on tariff exposure, logistics costs, and customer demand locations
Partner with operations and supply chain leaders to align sourcing decisions with regional capacity and capabilitiesResourcing / Insourcing / Outsourcing ExecutionLead initiatives to transition production across suppliers or in-house operations
Develop business cases for outsourcing or insourcing decisions, factoring in financial, operational, and compliance considerationsEnsure smooth execution of sourcing transitions while minimizing supply disruptionsCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with procurement, finance, trade compliance, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to align strategies with business goals
Partner with senior leadership to reassess sourcing models as tariff and trade landscapes evolveAnalytics & ReportingBuild models to simulate tariff cost impacts under different scenarios
Provide clear reporting and presentations to leadership on sourcing recommendations, cost savings, and risk mitigation strategiesQUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)7+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain strategy, preferably in a manufacturing environmentDeep knowledge of global trade policies, tariffs, and compliance requirementsStrong analytical and financial modeling skills; ability to translate complex data into clear business insightsExperience leading cross-border sourcing initiatives, including supplier transitions and manufacturing footprint optimizationExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to influence senior leadersDomestic and international travel may be requiredCOMPETENCIES :
