The Senior Variable Compensation Analyst will be responsible for administrating and maintaining associate variable compensation plans. This position serves as a key liaison to resolve variable compensation related issues and plans aligned with business goals and departmental budgets. This position also analyzes data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, providing insight to enhance the efficiency of the variable compensation process.
Essential Functions And Basic Duties :
Variable Compensation Administration - 75%
- Administers and maintains sales commission and bonus compensation plans, ensuring accurate calculations and timely payouts.
- Utilizes compensation tools and platforms, such as SQL database, to support plan execution and data tracking, including goal, performance, and incentive tracking for production associates and leaders, ensuring system integrity and reliability.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to address compensation-related questions, resolve disputes, and gather insights and feedback, to ensure that compensation structures align with business objectives.
- Partners in the development and refinement of sales compensation plans, including quotas, pay structures, and incentive models.
- Provides clear and accessible explanations of compensation plans and policies to internal customers, addressing inquiries promptly.
- Partners with leadership within Production to develop and assist in delivering training to production associates on new or updated variable compensation plans, ensuring clarity and understanding; partners with Payroll and Accounting to ensure pay cycle and month end obligations are fulfilled.
- Plans and maintains existing budgets on both departmental and organizational level
- Assures that variable compensation initiatives and programs drive the company's strategic objectives and that these initiatives are in alignment with the overall vision, goals, and standards
Reporting, Analytics, and Compliance - 25%
Gathers and analyzes data related to variable compensation plans to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.Monitors and ensures adherence to legal and regulatory requirements for all compensation programs.Manages all ad hoc information requests and reporting.Prepares and distributes reports on variable compensation plan performance and administration, including metrics that track success and identify areas for adjustment and reporting to support audit, budget, and financial reporting needs.Stays abreast of industry compensation trends and provide insight to leadership.Stays informed about industry best practices to recommend improvements and innovations.Executes regular audits of data and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.Secondary Functions (If Applicable)
