Exciting Opportunity : Teacher Position

As a teacher at Uncommon Schools, you will play a pivotal role in implementing our curriculum and ensuring the success of our students. Qualifications

We are seeking strong applicants for all teaching roles, whether you are new to the field or an experienced educator. Here’s what we’re looking for :

  • While a background in education is not required for new teachers, a demonstrated passion for working with K-12 students and prior experience in schools or urban communities is preferred.
  • Additional Qualifications for Experienced Teachers

  • A proven track record of high achievement in the classroom.
  • A minimum of two years of teaching experience in an urban public school or charter school setting is preferred.
  • Valid State Certification and a Master’s degree are helpful but not required.
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university before employment begins.
  • A cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.75 or higher by the time employment begins.

    Compensation

    The salary for this role ranges from $50,000 to $64,700, determined by factors such as relevant full-time teaching experience, education certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools. Candidates without full-time teaching experience will likely start at $50,000.
