Senior Partner Accounting Specialist
Cooley is seeking a Senior Partner Accounting Specialist to join the Accounting team.
Position summary : The Senior Partner Accounting Specialist is responsible for assisting the Senior Manager of Partner Accounting in maintaining partners' capital accounts and processing of partners' payroll. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
Position responsibilities :
- Maintain and reconcile partners' capital accounts, including but not limited to, monitoring capital contributions, return of capital, and partner expenses
- Support the monthly payroll process, which includes preparing monthly files and reconciling the payroll register to support files
- Coordinate with the CN HR department for partners' insurance premiums, including reviewing and reconciling partners' GL accounts for accuracy and proper posting
- Facilitate onboarding / offboarding of partners, including analysis of capital contributions and distributions
- Compile compensation data for actuarial purposes
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation and posting of journal entries
- Support the annual financial statement / retirement plan audits and tax return process
- Actively participate in discussions on process improvement and automation
- Collaborate on various projects and requests
- All other duties as assigned or required

The expected hourly pay range for this position with a work schedule of 40 hours per week is $38.50 - $56.50 ($80,080.00 - $117,520.00 annually). Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
