As our Full-Time Director of Coaching, you'll lead a dynamic team, deliver high-quality programming across Hillsborough County, and foster a culture that is fun, fast-paced, and deeply rewarding. This is a leadership role where your love of soccer and passion for developing others will make a lasting difference.

Soccer Shots is a best-in-class, engaging children's soccer experience with an emphasis on character development for children 2-8 years old. As we continue to grow, we are currently seeking a dependable, child-savvy Director of Coaching with leadership experience to join our tight-knit and connected Coaching Team. The DOC is the nucleus of the Soccer Shots coaching team, overseeing all of the coaches on the team.

The DOC will be responsible for the quality of coaching, ensuring that all coaches meet and exceed the Soccer Shots' coaching standards. This is a vital role as it is our coaches that make us the best youth soccer program in the Sacramento region, and that quality must be maintained as we continue to grow. Thinking of ways to better train and equip the coaches we have is essential to the success of this position. You will be building a team of coaches that work together, are professional, care for children, and have a passion to see Soccer Shots flourish.

Your Impact

• Train New Coaches in the Soccer Shots Way
• Deliver our highly developed training to both new hires and veteran coaches.
• Ensure all programs meet Soccer Shots' standards for safety, fun, and skill development
• Serve as a visible leader and role model on and off the field
• Manage & Develop a High-Performing Coaching Team
• Directly manage a team of 30+ part-time coaches
• Lead recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and continuous training
• Conduct performance reviews, field evaluations, and mentorship
• Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and enthusiasm
• Coordinate coach scheduling and site logistics across Hillsborough County
• Monitor program quality and curriculum consistency
• Troubleshoot challenges and ensure smooth daily operations
• Build relationships with schools, parks, and families
• Represent Soccer Shots at events and community outreach opportunities
• Maintain clear, upbeat communication with partners and parents
