Full-Time Clinical Educator

Jefferson Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Educator who is a registered nurse with a BSN degree and has expertise in education. The Clinical Educator develops and coordinates educational programs for nursing staff, students, and allied health professionals. They assist in overseeing new employee orientation, tailoring training to various experience levels, from new graduates to seasoned professionals. In addition to providing continuing education, they serve as a resource for clinical instruction, program development, and outreach initiatives. Collaborating with leadership and interdisciplinary team members across multiple departments, they ensure training aligns with evolving healthcare standards while contributing to policy development, quality assurance, and best practices. Through a combination of instruction, consultation, and program oversight, the Clinical Educator plays a key role in advancing clinical competency and patient care excellence.
What this role is about :
- Develops and operationalizes effective methods of educating patient care staff focused on knowledge, skills and attitudes requisite for safe, competent and effective patient care practice
- Identifies need, develops and offers specific education programs relevant to needs assessment and identified gaps in knowledge for assigned areas
- Collaborate with nursing leadership, managers, and preceptors to assess learning needs and tailor educational support
- Promotes evidence-based nursing practice through assessment, dissemination of information, analysis of practice, coaching and mentoring
- Manages factors related to safety and effectiveness in planning and delivery of professional development activities
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of competency-based education model, incorporating competency assessment into all educational activities
- Assists in development of educational programs for unlicensed nursing support personnel
- Appreciates differences in learning styles, cultures and generational differences of learners participating in educational activities and develops activities to enhance participation and learning

Current Washington State RN license in good standing requiredBachelor of Science in Nursing or relevant degree requiredGraduate degree in Nursing, Education, or related specialty preferredPrevious experience as a clinical educator preferredCurrent BLS and ACLS requiredAdvanced current certification preferred for specific patient population : PALS, ENPC, TNCC, ANA Med-Surg. NRP, Wound Care, Conscious SedationMinimum five years of acute nursing care experience requiredSchedule : This position is full-time, exempt. This position is on-site.
