Lead and support projects involving traffic engineering, signal operations and timing, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) design, implementation, and integration.
Partner with clients to ensure successful project delivery that meets both technical and business objectives.
Coordinate daily with project teams, clients, and consultants to manage assignments, resolve signal network maintenance issues, and perform field inspections to assess and enhance traffic performance.
Oversee and contribute to design reviews, including plan development, site evaluations, cost estimates, specifications, and reports to ensure high-quality traffic control systems and device improvements.
Support business development by engaging in local and regional initiatives and fostering client relationships to drive growth and repeat business.
Participate in coordination meetings and collaborate across disciplines to ensure consistent project execution.
Mentor and train junior engineering and planning staff while supporting team management efforts.
Identify client needs and develop tailored project plans and proposals to meet expectations.
Conduct local travel as needed for project tasks and client meetings.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE), or International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) certification preferred.
At least five (5) years of experience in transportation engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum three (3) years of experience managing projects or programs for public agencies, including staff leadership and mentoring.
Proficiency with Synchro, SimTraffic, VISSIM, AutoCAD, and / or MicroStation.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
