For our heavy equipment operators, no two days are the same. You'll have the chance to do everything from laying asphalt to build the roads you drive on, to preparing the ground for buildings or playgrounds, or installing underground utility lines. You'll run all kinds of equipment such as rollers, skid steers, excavators, work with a team on projects big and small, playing an integral part as we stand together to reinvent the way our world is built.

Wage : $23.00 $30.00 + / hr DOE w / potential for overtime. Work could include Davis Bacon Wages and Non-Davis Bacon Wages

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
Operate equipment safely and efficiently by utilizing equipment within its designed parameters.Performs pre and post shift inspection of equipmentExcavate holes and ditches and move materialsLoad materials into trucks for haulingUse heavy equipment to lift and move heavy structures and equipmentUse equipment to grade terrainChecks necessary equipment parts to ensure proper function of equipment.Responsible for safe slopes on excavations.Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging.Perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.Assist labor crew including shoveling, raking and compacting of asphalt materials.Routinely assist other members of the work force in different areas of production.Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.Other tasks and duties as assigned to meet business needs.Regular and timely attendance.Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment.Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Minimum Requirements
Must have a current and valid driver's license.Prior equipment operation experience in construction or related environments.Safety minded professional who demonstrates good performance, attendance, and punctuality.Demonstrates the willingness to work overtime as needed.Demonstrates the ability to work and communicate well with supervisor, plant personnel, and other employees.Demonstrates the ability to conform to and maintain OSHA, MSHA, DOT and all other company or state rules and regulations.Must pass pre-employment physical exam and pre-employment controlled substance testing.Must have current US Authorization to work or ability to obtain without company assistance prior to start date.Preferred Requirements
CDL a plus but not required.Work Environment
