Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist to join the Emergency Department team in Amarillo, Texas. This full-time, night shift position offers the chance to make a direct impact on patients during critical and urgent care situations.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide direct pharmaceutical care for emergency department patients.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and providers on treatment planning and medication optimization.
Support rapid assessment and management of critically ill patients, including resuscitation and trauma.
Participate in emergency response events such as cardiac arrests, stroke alerts, and sepsis protocols.
Perform medication reconciliation, review therapy, and make evidence-based recommendations.
Counsel patients and healthcare professionals on safe and effective medication use.
Precept pharmacy students and residents while supervising pharmacy technicians.
Required Qualifications :
PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited program.
Active Texas Pharmacist license in good standing.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
Clinical experience in emergency medicine or critical care pharmacy.
Preferred :
Completion of a PGY2 residency in emergency medicine or critical care, or PGY1 residency with strong emergency / critical care experience.
