Job Summary
Responsible for mail preparation, mail pickup, delivery to various company locations and U.S. Post offices along with day-to-day Lettershop job tasks.
Prepares, sorts & routes interoffice and inter-company mail.
Picks up and delivers mail per assigned route and schedule. Sorts, weighs, meters and trays U.S. Mail.
Substitutes for other Mail Services employees as needed.
Participates in cross-training to learn tasks throughout the Mail Services department.
Will independently perform tasks at 3 or more locations.
Bursts, bundles and delivers data reports on weekly / monthly basis.
Delivers paper orders on a timely basis.
Monitors walk-up copiers to ensure supply rooms have paper and core office supplies.
Processes carrier shipments either through vendor equipment or via web-based applications, as needed.
Tracks and retrieves information on accountable mail at every step of delivery.
Performs charge-back accountability function for accountable mail.
Performs daily Lettershop functions to ensure customer requests are met in a cost-effective and timely manner.
Operates Lettershop equipment, as needed and maintains each piece so that downtime is minimized, including ink jet, inserter, BCC software, courier shipping stations, scanner, and pallet jacks.
Working knowledge of Excel required.
Works to improve the quality and readability of mail list so postage expenditures and returned mail is minimized.
Lays out postal code address lists, manipulates databases, lays out specifications for printing on various envelope stock.
Charges back inventory supplies when necessary, including copy paper, envelopes, and fulfillment materials.
Maintains knowledge of mail and shipping rules and methods to include USPS, courier, freight, and run mail.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of HazMat procedures.
Investigates potentially hazardous shipments, as necessary, and leads resolution.

Technical Certification Bonus : Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
