Job Summary : The Development & Outreach Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that strengthen the organizations visibility, community presence, and stakeholder engagement. This role carries out marketing, advertising, and social media efforts; coordinates community events; manages development-related operation systems; and provides support for fundraising initiatives and reporting.
Essential Job Functions :
- Collaborate with leadership to align engagement strategies with organizational goals
- Stay abreast of and incorporate relevant industry trends
- Create and curate promotional and informational marketing materials that support donor education and community outreach
- Implement advertising campaigns to promote programs and raise awareness among individuals that will benefit most, including culturally and linguistically diverse populations
- Manage and grow the organizations social media presence across multiple platforms including but not limited to LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram
- Collaborate with communications consultant, creative director, and videographer to coordinate filming efforts throughout the year
- Manage Aspen Hope Center website content and updates
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all communications
- Plan and manage community events, to include ordering swag and supplies, coordinating logistics with partners, and staffing booths.
- Provide guidance to staff on how to effectively stage booth and engage with community members at events
- Track, evaluate, and report on the success of marketing and engagement efforts
- Support donor stewardship efforts and cultivate meaningful connections with donors (i.e. monthly digital engagement letters, face-to-face meetings, community presentations)
- Maintain and oversee donor / development software to ensure accurate records and reporting
- Create, plan, and maintain development and community relations event calendar
- Coordinate donor appreciation efforts and ensure timely and personalized thank-you outreach
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing annual fundraising gala, additional fundraising events and staff holiday event
- Assist with the development and production of the organizations Annual Report
- Collaborate with the Executive Team to develop impact reports for various AHC programs
- Attend weekly Administrative Team Meeting
- Represent AHC at two internal and / or external events during the year, determined in collaboration with their supervisor
- Serve on one AHC committee, encouraged
- Acknowledge and adhere to all policies and procedures of Aspen Hope Center
- Complete additional tasks as directed by the COO or CEO
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skillsExperience with social media management, digital marketing, and event planningFamiliarity with donor management / development software (e.g., Bloomerang)Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with patience and professionalismStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with and engage multiple stakeholdersGraphic design and / or basic video editing skills.Experience working in nonprofit or community-focused organizationsComfort and experience with public speaking and community outreachAvailable for occasional evening and weekend event commitmentsWorking Conditions :
Ability to lift, carry, and transport materials and supplies weighing up to 25-30 pounds (such as event boxes, signage, or promotional items.)Ability to set up and break down tables, displays, and booths for community eventsAbility to sit and work at a computer for prolonged periods when completing administrative, marketing, and development tasksComfortable standing and walking for extended periods of time (at events, community fairs, or while engaging with stakeholders)Ability to drive or travel independently to various locations, events, and meetings with the regionCredentials and Experience :
Bachelors degree in communications, marketing, public relations, nonprofit management, or related field (or equivalent experience).24 years of experience in community engagement, marketing, communications, or development.Benefits for full-time employees :
