Opportunity : RN - PCU Job Details : Work in 24-bed Cardiovascular Intermediate Medical Unit (CV IMU) Patient ratios of 4-5 patients per nurse Rotating weekends required Royal blue scrubs required Must have IMCU experience including chest tubes, BiPAP, and trach care Cardiac monitoring with interventions experience required Drip experience required : Heparin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Lasix, Bumex, Insulin Work with GE bedside monitors, Welch Dinamaps, Alaris pumps, and Kangaroo pumps Electronic Medical Record system : Meditech Handle post-procedure patients : TAVR, Watchman, heart catheterization with complications, PCI, CABG, pacemakers, ablations Perform cardioversions as needed Float to Med / Surg and other IMCU units as needed Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIH Cardiovascular experience preferred Strong critical thinking skills essential Day shift : 1 Secretary, 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RN Floor staff, 2-3 nurse techs, sitters when needed Night shift : 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RN / LVN Floor staff, 2-3 nurse techs, sitters when needed Facility : This healthcare organization operates a specialized cardiovascular facility featuring a dedicated Heart Hospital with advanced cardiac services.
