Job Description Summary

SIGN-ON BONUS AVAILABLE! Join our dynamic orthopedic clinic as a Certified Medical Assistant! In this role, you will work closely with our healthcare team under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, providing multi-skilled support to ensure a patient-centered approach in delivering exceptional care.

You will play a crucial role in delivering quality patient care as you assist physicians and licensed healthcare providers in a clinical setting. Your responsibilities will include :

• Rooming patients and taking vital signs and health histories.
• Documenting information in the electronic medical record system.
• Administering injections and assisting with minor procedures.
• Maintaining and reviewing patient records and communicating pertinent information.
• Documenting test and exam results and educating patients about their plan of care.
• Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and medical supplies.
• Managing the patient flow and assisting with appointment scheduling based on urgency.
• Observing, recording, and reporting on patients' physical and psychosocial conditions.
• Triaging patient inquiries and managing medication distribution as ordered by the physician.
• Preparing patients for exams and procedures and instructing them in sample collection and tests.

Minimum Qualifications : A high school diploma or equivalent, preferably with completion of an accredited medical assisting program and one year of patient care experience.

Licensure and Certifications : Certification from recognized medical assisting organizations is required. Additionally, a current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or equivalent is mandatory.

Physical Requirements : The role requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting items up to 50 lbs unassisted. Candidates must possess good hand dexterity and be able to see and recognize objects both close-up and at a distance. A latex-safe environment is maintained, and the ability to work in various physical conditions is necessary.
