Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations employing both standardized assessment tools and observational methods.
  • Craft individualized treatment plans tailored to short-term progress and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
  • Facilitate personalized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing interventions.
  • Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to coordinate patient care.
  • Provide education for patients and their families to encourage development beyond our clinical sessions.
  • Participate in inpatient therapy evaluations as needed, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout each patient's treatment experience.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Comply with ongoing education initiatives to stay ahead of trends and advancements in the field.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) post-graduation if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.
  • CREDENTIALS

  • Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred : ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.

  • Deep knowledge of evidence-based practices for treating patients across different age groups and an understanding of both developmental and acquired disorders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Sound clinical judgment coupled with analytical problem-solving skills.
