In the role of Senior Stormwater Engineer, we'll count on you to :

• Provide project and task management; collect, assimilate, and present data in reports, memos, and public forums; lead engineers charged with production of design calculations and technical reports; and preparing engineering plans and specifications for design of detention facilities, storm drains, flood control facilities and other hydraulic structures
• Work independently in addition to planning, organizing, and supervising the work of medium to large teams of professionals and technicians dependent on project / task
• Understand the principles, practices, and methods of public works design and construction of stormwater management systems
• Understand stormwater regulatory requirements and standards such as the Ecology Stormwater Management Manual and how to implement local design requirements
• Design green stormwater infrastructure and other stormwater best management practices
• Problem solve by identifying multiple solutions and work with a team to select preferred approaches
• Interpret and explain technical information to a variety of audiences in a technical or non-technical manner, as appropriate
• Support development of less experienced engineers to build stronger teams
• Serve as project manager on larger projects as needed
• Prepare proposal, scopes of work and contract cost estimates
• Perform other duties as needed
