Raytheon's Manufacturing Engineers develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying products and manufacturing methods. They analyze product specifications to determine appropriate designs and processes that support these customer requirements.
As a Test & Validation Engineer II, you'll apply your skills to develop, test, modify, and create solutions through a collaborative effort with various teams.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in development of Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow / routing, labor standards, tool and fixture designs
- Supporting daily manufacturing areas with process troubleshooting and incorporation of engineering changes into the MDP
- Dispositioning non-conforming material using root cause and corrective action analysis and working on corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence
- Assisting with driving Continuous Improvement through process improvements to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate and reduce costs (both direct and indirect) using Core / Six Sigma principles and data driven decision making
- Assisting with tool / fixture development to drive ergonomics into processes
- Providing real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators; in-house as well as the supply base.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience preferably in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical EngineeringEngineering and / or manufacturing experienceThe ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearanceAbility to obtain interim Secret U.S government issued security clearance is required prior to start dateQualifications We Prefer
Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Experience with automated tooling, machinery and programmingand proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO / ProE)Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplinesand an innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement and keeps pace with advances in technologyKnowledge and ability to apply CORE principles and techniquesAbility to work in a team environmentwith the organizational skills needed to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyExperience with Refurbishment and Repair requirements and processing of Government Furnished Material (GFM) or Equipment (GFE)Current DoD security clearance (secret)What We Offer
