Lightbeam Solutions is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Director to lead our behavioral health programs. About the Role
As the Clinical Director, you will oversee all clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, ethical, and compliant care. You will provide leadership to our team of clinical supervisors, counselors, and peer support staff, while also serving as the primary compliance officer for our agency. In addition to directing programs, you may occasionally provide direct client services such as assessments and crisis intervention.
What Youll Do
- Lead daily operations of clinical programs to ensure client-centered care
- Supervise and mentor clinical supervisors, counselors, and peer staff
- Ensure compliance with DBHDS, Medicaid, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and state licensing requirements
- Review and approve treatment plans, assessments, and clinical documentation
- Oversee admissions and discharges for program participants
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives
- Coordinate staff training, continuing education, and professional development
- Collaborate with referral partners, community agencies, and regulators
- Support hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations of clinical staff
- Provide direct clinical services as needed
Minimum Qualifications :
Masters degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related fieldActive Virginia license (LPC, LCSW, LSATP, or equivalent)5+ years of progressive behavioral health or substance use treatment experience, including leadershipKnowledge of DBHDS and Medicaid regulationsStrong leadership, organizational, and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications :
Prior experience as a Clinical Director or Program Manager in outpatient or community-based settingsFamiliarity with accreditation processes (CARF, Joint Commission, etc.)Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systemsAbility to supervise staff pursuing CSAC or related credentialsBilingual (English / Spanish)Why Join Lightbeam Solutions?
