Program Manager For Low-Income Energy Assistance
The Program Manager for the Low-Income Energy Assistance and other Energy Assistance programs is responsible for the operation of fuel payment assistance programs. This includes working with federal, regional, state, and district agencies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and effective management of program contracts and budgets.
Duties :
- Regular attendance
- Proficient in Office and use of web-based programs and email
- Manage the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and utility emergency programs to ensure effective operation of programs and staff, ensure all state and federal regulations and contract requirements are met
- Determine participant eligibility
- Maintain program participant files as required by contracts on computer systems
- Provide participants with information about energy conservation, budgeting and referral to other community services, social service agencies and HRDC programs
- Coordinate meetings and activities of Energy Share local committee
- Oversee LIEAP / Continuous Revolving Fund (CRF) emergencies
- Work with the Fiscal Officer to develop and manage program operating budgets, prepare comprehensive program reports as necessary / ensure expenditures are authorized within contract guidelines and budgets
- Schedule and promote outreach efforts and workshops in the 6-county area
- Attend organization and other trainings and meetings as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field, or equivalent combination of education and / or experience to fully meet the required minimum job qualifications.Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer skills in web-based programsExperience in determining applicant eligibilityExperience in preparing and managing budgetsAbility to read and understand federal and state regulations and contractsAbility to organize and prioritize workGeneral knowledge of the public, private sector, and community resourcesValid Montana driver's license, proof of personal vehicle insurance, ability to meet insurability requirements for the organization automobile insurance policyInterest and experience in working with or willingness to work with people of low incomeAbility to manage multiple tasks in a time sensitive environmentAbility to communicate effectively and clearly orally and in writingAbility to solve problems and work independentlyBenefits :
