Sweater Technical Designer (Womens) (New York)

Sweater Technical Designer Overview : As the Technical Designer, you will work on all aspects of technical design for Womens Sweaters to ensure accuracy of product measurements, quality, construction, and fit. This role will be working with Walmart product and work cross functionally with internal design, PD and Production.

Sweater Technical Designer Responsibilities :

Assist on all aspects of technical design for every sweater collection and help with fit comment document for all garment components, including fit, fabric, construction, stitch, and trim

Measure garments accurately to identify any fit issues and execute fit comments efficiently to remain on schedule with production

Participate in fit sessions, provide recommendations, note call-outs, and log critiques to accurately and efficiently address all issues

Assist on approving samples for production after a thorough evaluation of fit, measurement, pattern shaping, hanger appeal, and functionality

Sweater Technical Designer Qualifications :

Bachelors degree preferred

Proven technical design experience in womens sweaters

Previous Walmart experience and use of platforms like Bamboo Rose, Plum a PLUS

Proficient with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop
