Job Title : Liability and Property Claims Adjuster

The City of Eugene is actively recruiting for an experienced Liability and Property Claims Adjuster.
The position will investigate, analyze, and determine the extent of the City's liability concerning personal, casualty, and property loss / damage claims, as well as negotiating settlements when appropriate. The position will also be assisting in the administration of the City's recovery program and insurance program. This position is part of the Employee Resource Center (ERC), which is a division within the Central Services Department of the City of Eugene. The ERC delivers and supports traditional and non-traditional Human Resource and Enterprise Risk Management services.

Minimum Qualifications :
Experience : Four years of professional experience in general liability, auto, and / or property claims administration, preferably in the public sector.
Education : Equivalent to an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in the assigned program area, or a related one. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Background : Must pass a background check.
License : Valid Oregon driver's license (or, the ability to obtain by date of hire); must pass driving records check and, if hired, maintain a driving record that meets the City's standard. Oregon law requires that an out-of-state license holder must obtain a valid Oregon license (with appropriate endorsements) within 30 days of becoming domiciled in the state (ORS 803.355).
