Clerical Role
Perform clerical work requiring the application of various work methods and procedures, along with familiarity with departmental functions, policies, and practices. This position is responsible for product safety, quality, and legality.
Primary Responsibilities
- Receive, classify, and route incoming mail; serve as a backup to the receptionist.
- Check, analyze, and classify / alphabetize materials; conduct limited research when necessary.
- Post to various departmental records and prepare reports involving tabulations, posted data, and basic math calculations.
- Conduct limited research of records for information related to taxes, titles, judgments, or verification / location of other records.
- Receive and issue receipts for payments related to licenses, permits, certificates, bonds, and services.
- Issue licenses, permits, certificates, and other legal documents or titles in accordance with departmental rules and regulations.
- Index records and information; file in established systems.
- Operate office equipment including computers, calculators, copiers, and other machines.
- Calculate, prepare, and mail bills for documents or services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education / Experience
High school diploma or equivalent work experience.02 years of experience in clerical work, preferably in a warehouse environment.Working knowledge of business English, spelling, arithmetic, office practices and procedures, and departmental rules and regulations.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Customer service driven.Strong team player.Physical & Cognitive Requirements
