Production Engineer & Supervisor - 3rd Shift - Heavy Industrial

Summary The 3rd Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and responding to maintenance and production activities, producing sufficient product at budgeted rates to meet sales demands; ensures the quality of products produced; sustains good employee communication and morale to ensure a motivated and productive labor force, promotes and facilitates the progress of High Performance Work Systems within the department, and performs other duties as assigned. College degree required.

Education : Related Bachelors Degree Required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

• 3 to 5 years of production-related experience
• Ability to communicate effectively, to motivate others and to promote a positive work atmosphere
• Self-starter who can work effectively with a minimum of supervision
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees within the company
• Willingness to challenge conventional ideas, be flexible, innovative and be able to function effectively in a team format
• Working knowledge of computer systems - Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Ability to read, write, listen, speak, and understand English
• Ability to follow instructions and other oral / written information, compose correspondence in a professional manner, complete paperwork and other documentation accurately
• Work independently and with others
• Communicate effectively with all individuals internal and external to the organization
• Analyze information / situations as needed, be organized and detail-oriented, be able to identify / judge the urgency of a situation, use judgment in decision making and use creativity and negotiation when necessary
• Self-directed, take initiative and be persistent when appropriate to accomplish necessary duties and keep busy without prompting
• Adaptable / flexible to changing work assignments

• Ability to travel is preferred

Work Hours : 3rd Shift - 10 : 00 PM ET - 6 : 00 AM ET. Must have ability to work the shift / number of hours in which duties need to be accomplished, including overtime, holidays, and weekends, as necessary. Call-ins may occur as needed.
