Overview

Engineering College Hire (Oil & Gas Business) at Oxy. Oxy is an international energy company with assets in the United States, the Middle East and North Africa. We are a large oil and gas producer with activities in exploration, production, midstream, marketing, chemicals, and carbon management.

Oxy is seeking recent graduates to join our engineering teams in a college hire program. The role involves developing and applying engineering solutions across our oil and gas operations, with exposure to technologies such as horizontal drilling, production automation, artificial lift, acidizing and hydraulic fracturing.

Responsibilities

  • Support engineering projects aligned with Oil & Gas operations and technology development.
  • Collaborate with production, drilling, and facilities engineering teams to apply engineering principles.
  • Contribute to safety, reliability, and efficiency initiatives across assets.
  • Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting to support technical decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's / Graduate Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Petroleum Engineering
  • Must have a graduation date of May 2025 – May 2026
  • Must maintain minimum cumulative 2.85 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Desire to pursue a career in the Oil and Gas Industry

  • Various locations in West Texas, Southwest New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming or Offshore Gulf of America
