The Asset Care Team Leader (ACTL) is a technical role reporting to the Operations Manager. The ACTL focuses on the execution of planned / scheduled and unplanned / breakdown maintenance work, optimizing maintenance resources and materials for a designated crew, and developing the craftspeople to ensure a trained, effective maintenance workforce. The role emphasizes safe work practices and removing obstacles to timely maintenance execution.
Key Outputs / Responsibilities
- Ensure Safety, Quality, Food Safety and Environmental compliance for the crew they lead.
- Ensure all work (including process modifications) has a clear, valid work order with required approvals.
- Attend daily Tier 1 operations handover meetings and facilitate Maintenance Tier 1 handover; validate the Shift Report (downtime, completed WOs, outstanding items).
- Report at Production Tier 2 meetings with other team leads on maintenance issues.
- Review planned job packages for labor, materials, parts, methods, permits, and priorities.
- Distribute work orders and job plans; assign a full day's work at shift start.
- Collaborate with Planners / Schedulers to understand backlog and priorities.
- Spend at least 60% of the shift on the floor engaging with Mechanics as Production liaison for Maintenance.
- Lead and control job execution, including quality, duration, cost, and thoroughness; direct Mechanics in approved maintenance tasks.
- Coordinate with Production on changes affecting schedule duration or other conditions.
- Manage maintenance crew payroll, overtime, tardiness, and absenteeism per site standards.
- Ensure orderly conduct of maintenance team members with policy and procedure compliance.
- Provide technical guidance to ensure proper job execution; support and train mechanics, including SAP training.
- Drive improved Changeover and Changeover parts management.
- Accurately document time and materials to specific jobs in SAP, including failure cause, actions taken, and condition found.
- Maintain good housekeeping and safe work practices.
- Own Equipment Centers continuous improvement in Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
- Support site innovation initiatives across bottling halls and lead safety awareness meetings.
- Drive crew engagement and provide On-The-Job training and observation to identify skill gaps and improvements.
- Develop and maintain individual Development Plans; conduct regular 1 : 1 feedback sessions.
- Develop Mechanic core competencies in Plant Utilities.
- Continuously improve personal learning and development.
Qualifications And Experience Required
4-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferably in Engineering or other technical field).5+ years manufacturing or maintenance supervision experience.Hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance experience; drive systems / transmissions experience.Basic controller / processor, industrial electrical wiring, mechanical / electrical devices and circuits experience; basic drive maintenance, installations, troubleshooting experience.SAP experience.Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Rewards & Benefits
