Nurse Manager - Primary Care Healthcare Position Type : Full-Time, Permanent, Exempt
Reports To : Director of Nursing
Location : Brighton and Waltham Massachusetts
Direct Reports : Staff Nurses and Lead Medical Assistant
Job Summary

Lead an energetic team of nurses and medical assistants while working with diverse patient populations in a Patient Centered Medical Home environment. This leadership role combines clinical excellence with operational management in a fast-paced, rewarding healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and mentor RNs, MAs, and support staff
- Guide training for new staff and ensure ongoing clinical education
- Complete annual performance evaluations and support career development
- Coordinate nursing student preceptorships
- Clinical Operations Management
- Collaborate with medical leadership on daily operations and patient flow
- Manage weekly staffing schedules and ensure appropriate provider / nurse ratios
- Oversee primary care, lab, and satellite extension services
- Maintain clinical guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Quality & Compliance
- Ensure team readiness for audits and regulatory inspections
- Serve as Site Vaccine Manager, tracking inventory and vaccination rates
- Support equipment maintenance and regulatory compliance
- Manage medical supply inventory and purchasing
- Direct Patient Care
- Provide direct and indirect patient care activities as needed
- Perform RN duties while managing administrative responsibilities
- Support care coordination and workflow improvements
Required Qualifications
Education : Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master's preferredLicensing : Current Massachusetts RN licenseExperience : 3+ years nursing experience with recent outpatient / ambulatory care backgroundSkills : Strong communication, interpersonal, and management abilitiesPreferred Qualifications
Leadership experience including staff evaluation and performance managementKnowledge of ambulatory care practices and workflowsPatient Centered Medical Home model experienceExperience with diverse, underserved populationsBilingual / bicultural capabilitiesSound decision-making and independent work skillsWhat We Offer
