Staff Accountant

Aston Carter is looking to hire a Staff Accountant in Ligonier, IN. This position offers competitive pay with a top company in the area!

Job Description

Support the month-end financial close process through preparation and posting of journal entries in alignment with accounting policies

Create daily / weekly / monthly reports around Overtime, Inventory, and Sales variances with focus around drivers of change

Actively participate in cross-functional teams including spending time on the manufacturing floor to understand and improve processes / costs

Perform various ad hoc analyses and reporting as necessary

Support members of Plant finance team with Capital expense and Cost accounting functions as needed

Assist with the review and analysis of financial trends and variances

Reconcile actual expenses compared to production reporting and recommend improvements to production costing

Participate in various integration projects with a focus on efficiency, productivity and internal controls

Develop keen understanding of the ERP system product costing including standard cost routing and bills-of-material

Update ERP system for annual budget standard costs

Drive preparation of annual budget with Sr. Financial Analyst

Assist with cycle and annual inventory counts

Skills & Qualifications

2-3 years of Cost Accounting experience

Experience in Manufacturing preferred

Advanced Degree is preferred

Automotive industry experience would be a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $69000.00 / yr.
