Travel RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,488 per week

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : RN Specialty : Cardiovascular Medical-Surgical Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience required. License : Current RN license in good standing. Certifications : BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association required. Must-Have : ASN required; BSN preferred. Description : Performs all responsibilities and duties required by the unit specific to the scope of service. Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice. Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to assure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team. Completes an initial assessment upon patient admission and develops an appropriate plan of care in accordance with unit standards based on patient and family needs. Implements the plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures. Modifies the plan of care based on continuous evaluation. Takes responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting and / or correcting safety hazards and incidents. Communicates with others directly and in private when necessary to resolve issues. Offers constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers and confers with colleagues to expand knowledge base. Identifies own learning needs and takes the initiative to begin appropriate solutions. Fulfills all requirements of departmental competencies. Provides direct care to cardiovascular medical-surgical patients, including postoperative care. Maintains a clean and tidy work environment. Maintains hospital and unit-based competencies. Conducts hourly rounding on patients. Proactively seeks out opportunities to assist internal and external customers.
