Comprehensive obstetric care from admission through delivery, recovery, and postpartum dischargeCare for both low-risk and high-risk pregnanciesSupport for vaginal, cesarean, and VBAC deliveriesPatient Population :
Adult women (antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum)Newborns (including immediate post-delivery care)Culturally diverse patient baseUnit Capacity :
15 beds and 11 roomsAverage daily census of 15–20 patientsCommon Diagnoses / Conditions :
Pre-eclampsia and eclampsiaPreterm labor and premature rupture of membranesPlacenta previa and placental abruptionGestational diabetesMultiple gestationsPostpartum hemorrhage and complicationsNursing Responsibilities :
Triage and monitor laboring patientsPerform and interpret fetal monitoring (EFM / IUPC)Administer magnesium sulfate, oxytocin, and other obstetric medicationsCirculate and assist during cesarean sectionsManage postpartum recovery and newborn careProvide patient and family education on breastfeeding and infant careTeam and Support Services :
