FINANCIAL SERVICES ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY – PAYMENTS & FINTECH

A leading international law firm is seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney to join its nationally recognized Payments and Fintech practice. This role offers the opportunity to advise clients on sophisticated matters at the intersection of financial services, technology, and innovation, within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Candidate Profile

• Juris Doctor from a highly regarded law school with a strong academic record.

• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, in good standing.

• Approximately 3–6 years of experience in commercial transactions, particularly involving technology, fintech, or outsourcing.

• Proven experience drafting, negotiating, and managing complex commercial agreements, including technology, licensing, and services contracts.

• Experience with, or a strong interest in, payment systems, digital banking, and emerging fintech regulatory frameworks.

• Ability to manage multiple concurrent matters independently and collaboratively.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements related to payment processing, digital wallets, mobile platforms, data usage, SaaS, and technology outsourcing.

• Advise financial services and technology clients on fintech-related regulatory and compliance matters.

• Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas on privacy, cybersecurity, consumer protection, and banking regulatory issues.

• Support innovative product development initiatives and strategic transactions within evolving legal frameworks.

• Engage directly with clients and stakeholders to deliver practical, business-oriented legal advice.

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation: Annual base salary range of $260,000–$390,000, commensurate with experience, plus a discretionary bonus.
