Bear General Contractors in Pensacola, FL is looking for Underground Utility Installers. This role is responsible for the installation of underground utility systems, including water, sewer, and storm drainage lines, in commercial construction projects. This role involves a combination of manual labor, operating equipment, and adhering to safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Installation : Installing and aligning pipes according to project specifications, including water, sewer, and storm drainage lines.
• Excavation : Trenching and Shoring using manual labor and heavy equipment, ensuring proper grade and slope using levels and laser alignment tools.
• Pipefitting : Cutting, measuring, and assembling pipes, sealing joints, and ensuring proper connections.
• Backfilling and Compaction : Backfilling trenches and compacting earth to ensure structural stability.
• Equipment Operation : Operating various types of heavy equipment, such as excavators, backhoes, and trenchers, as well as hand and power tools.
• Safety Compliance : Following OSHA and company safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaboration : Working with site supervisors, other crew members, and sometimes engineers and contractors.
• Troubleshooting : Diagnosing and resolving issues related to underground utilities.
• Maintenance and Repair : Performing routine maintenance and repairs on underground utility systems.
