About The Position
Job Title : Cath Lab Technologist

Experience : Minimum 2 years preferred
License : Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration required.

Description :
Provide highly technical professional care to patients undergoing various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization / Special Procedures Lab.
Assist physicians in the performance of those procedures and in the operation of technical equipment utilized during all procedures.
Prepare room and equipment, instruct patients, monitor patient’s condition, and provide routine and emergency patient care during procedures.
Must be able to function with minimal supervision.
Contribute to the positive atmosphere of the department.
Accountable for providing 24-hour coverage when on call to ensure timely and appropriate patient care interventions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Work within a team environment with individuals having similar abilities and responsibilities.
Handle emergency situations during high-risk procedures with a calm, professional demeanor.
Demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to teach patients while providing a calming effect.
Interact with physicians and other team members with professionalism to enhance team effectiveness.
Participate in on-call responsibilities and respond when required within 30 minutes.
Demonstrate knowledge and competency in basic invasive cardiovascular techniques and technology.
Prepare and operate sophisticated procedural equipment including x-ray camera, procedure table controls, image processing equipment, hemodynamic monitoring equipment, ultrasound machine, and power injector with safety and precision.
Assist with Quality Assurance and Performance projects as directed.

Perform other duties as assigned.
