Unit Description :
The H.K. Freedman Renal Center Nursing Unit is a leader in nephrology and dialysis care, serving patients at two locations : our main unit in Plattsburgh, NY, and our satellite station in Elizabethtown, NY. Since 1997, we have provided exceptional, patient-centered care to a combined capacity of 114 patients.
Our Plattsburgh unit operates 24 fully equipped stations utilized for both morning and afternoon shifts, creating a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The clinic is open Monday through Saturday, with occasional Sundays to accommodate holiday schedules. Nurses typically work every other weekend, ensuring a balanced rotation and strong work-life balance.

Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current New York State RN license
Minimum of one year of RN experience required
AHA-BLS certification (must be obtained within six months of hire)
Previous hemodialysis or critical care experience preferred
Strong communication, flexibility, and customer service skills
Successful completion of orientation and CVPH training programs required
Schedule :
Primary Shift : 6 : 00 a.m. – 4 : 30 p.m.
Secondary Shift : 5 : 30 a.m. – 4 : 00 p.m.
On-call : Not Required
Incentives : $3.25 per hour weekend differential. 10-hour shifts.
