A growing national food manufacturer is looking for a Procurement Manager Meat to join their expanding team. This individual will take the lead on strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization for a high-volume protein category that supports multiple production facilities.

What You'll Do

• Lead all aspects of meat procurement to ensure raw material availability aligns with production and inventory goals.
• Analyze supplier yield and performance metrics to uncover opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
• Develop and maintain sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, and reliability across multiple protein suppliers.
• Evaluate supplier performance using scorecards focused on quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.
• Oversee replenishment and purchasing activities to minimize waste and optimize inventory turnover.
• Partner with Quality, R&D, and Operations teams to resolve any specification or compliance issues.
• Support new product development and reformulation initiatives by identifying qualified suppliers and securing cost-competitive materials.
• Collaborate with Finance and Operations to evaluate the financial impact of yield, pricing, and sourcing decisions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement data, contracts, and pricing within ERP systems.
• Build and sustain strong supplier relationships rooted in transparency, accountability, and performance improvement.
