Insight Global is looking for a Controls Engineer in Chesapeake, VA! Below is more information of what we're looking for in a candidate in the role :

Skills / Qualifications :

Experience : 2+ years of PLC and HMI / SCADA programming experience.

PLC Programming : Proficient in programming PLCs

HMI / SCADA Systems : Skilled in programming HMI / SCADA systems

Industrial Electrical Experience : Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, including 480VAC 3-phase, 120 VAC, 24VDC systems, VFDs, and panel design.

Automation Controls : Experience identifying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and modifying automation controls, including motor starters, Variable Frequency Drives, and standard electrical components.

Travel : Willingness to travel up to 25%, though current project workload requires less.

Preferred Qualifications :

Instrumentation Experience : Familiarity with process control instrumentation such as flow meters, pressure transmitters, and level transmitters.

Emerson Control Wave Experience : Additional expertise in Emerson Control Wave systems

Compensation : up to $125k

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and / or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
