Patuxent Engineering, LLC is seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer for our NJ/NYC Office located in Metuchen, NJ. This position is an in-office role working with a team of engineers and designers.

Ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Relevant experience in the industry (preferred at least a couple of years of work experience).

• Interest in concrete, steel, and foundation design, as well as Mechanical means and Methods for construction.

• Experience with working with a team in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects and deadlines at once.

• Working independently with little to no supervision while also providing communication internally with peers as well as external communication with clients.

Additionally, Interested candidates should have experience with drafting software (AUTOCAD 2d/3d), Structural analysis software, (RISA preferred) , Solid Modeling software (Inventor), math programs, etc. Familiarity with structural steel design codes (LRFD / ASD), Wind / Seismic Codes, and or NYC Building Codes would be a bonus.
