Job Summary :
As an Occupational Therapist, you will assess residents and patients, using treatments that help them develop, maintain, and recover their ability to perform daily tasks. Successful Occupational Therapists at Good Sam and Sanford are excellent communicators, compassionate, and enjoy working with people. In this role, you may supervise assistants, aides, and students, providing care and treatment, and will interact with various stakeholders, including providers, case managers, and family members.

Qualifications :
Applicants must possess the appropriate education level as required by state licensure and be licensed in the state of practice as an Occupational Therapist. While not required, certification through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is preferred. A valid driver’s license may be necessary in certain cases, and candidates must obtain and maintain required competencies and certifications, including Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers within the first 60 days of employment. New graduates in South Dakota and Iowa with a temporary license will be considered.
