We are seeking an experienced Safety & Compliance Manager to lead all aspects of safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance across Cargomatic's operations. This role is essential in ensuring that our drivers, contractors, equipment, and facilities operate in full compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, while fostering a culture of safety across our network.

The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, and industry-specific compliance requirements, coupled with the ability to implement proactive safety programs, investigate incidents, and maintain audit-ready documentation. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly to safety-related events—often outside standard business hours.

Responsibilities

Safety Program Leadership

• Develop, implement, and oversee Cargomatic's safety policies, procedures, and training programs for company drivers, owner-operators, and terminal staff.
• Maintain compliance with all FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, and state regulations, ensuring timely filing and recordkeeping.
• Monitor driver logs, roadside inspections, and safety-related camera events; enforce corrective action and remedial training where needed.
• Conduct regular terminal, equipment, and route safety inspections, identifying hazards and implementing mitigations.

Requirements

The expected salary range for this role is $70,000-90,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
