Overview

We are seeking dedicated and vigilant Correctional Officers to join our team. The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security within the correctional facility. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage conflicts, and a commitment to upholding the law while ensuring the rights of inmates are respected. As a Correctional Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring inmate behavior, enforcing facility rules, and responding to emergencies.

Responsibilities

Supervise and monitor inmate activities within the facility to ensure safety and security.
Conduct regular inspections of the premises using CCTV systems to identify potential security breaches.
Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, providing first aid and CPR as necessary.
Maintain order by managing conflicts among inmates effectively and professionally.
Prepare detailed reports on incidents, inmate behavior, and daily activities for record-keeping purposes.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure compliance with legal standards.
Enforce facility policies and procedures consistently while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in criminal justice or related fields is preferred.

Previous experience in law enforcement, military service, or security roles is desirable.

Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is required; training may be provided for qualified candidates.

Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.

Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation of incidents.

Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
